How do you do Marshalls?

I'm going to go a little off book here because it's the Holiday Season and we all have a lot of shopping to do.  If you are like me you are always looking for a great bargain, and where better to shop than Marshalls.  I love finding great deals on clothes, shoes and HANDBAGS!  I find great decorations for my home, toys for my son and the best deals on pillows, sheets and blankets.  Don't forget to also check out their bath and body collections and hair products and accessories.

Kiss Ever PRO Lashes

I am no pro when it comes to applying false eyelashes and I typically don't because I hate working with the glue.  I was given a free starter kit for Kiss Ever PRO Lashes by Influenster as part of the Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 and I was nervous and excited all at the same time.

I've spent some time practicing putting on the lashes and working with the glue which is actually very easy to use and I'm very impressed.  I'm happy with the results I've gotten while alone in the bathroom and I've decided I'm going to wear them on Thanksgiving Day when I host my family.

I will post a pic later...but a few things I've learned:

1. Start by putting black eyeliner on your lash line.
2. Then apply mascara to your own eyelashes.
3. From here you will apply the Kiss Ever PRO Lashes
4. Once the glue has dried go over the false lash line with black eyeliner again.
5. And reapply mascara to the tips.

Mini Candle Mighty Scent-sational

Everyone knows two things about me...1) I love to have friends and family over, and 2) I LOVE to have a great smelling house.  Not just good, I want the great scent to be noticed and I want to share it.  The Mini Candles at Bath & Body Works deliver!  I first heard about these Mini Candles it was from a friend who described the Mahogany Teakwood scent as "how all men should smell".  I was tickled and surprised when I was given a sample of that very scent by Influenster as part of my Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012.

So...yep...she was right.  This scent is more than amazing and I love the miniature candle option.  Bath & Body Works is currently offering their mini candles 2 for $5 and they are worth every penny.  The mini candle fills the room with a great scent and there are so many to choose from!  Bath & Body Works also offers 3-wick candles for a great price in the same amazing scents.

I am picking up a handful of candles for my Thanksgiving Party.  I love to place candle votives inside various sizes of vases.  They get a lot more use this way than if there are flowers and it creates a clean beautiful glow.  The only problem I can see from these candles is how to choose just a few scents!!!  ENJOY!



Beauty is in the Eyes

Have you heard of NYC New York Color?  This is a brand that I hadn't heard of in the past, but I have grown to absolutely love.  I was sent the IndividualEyes Customer Compact for Smokey Eyes and it literally comes with everything you need to create a great smokey look.  This is a pallet that consists of primer, illuminator, an applicator and four colors that compliment one another to create an easy beautiful smokey eye.

I found the color pallet very easy to use and the results I got were great!  My color transitioned easy from day to night simply by using the darkest color atop what I'd been wearing during the day.

I have spent some time checking out their website and can't wait to try the color pallet for my specific eye color.  I love makeup at affordable prices!  Check it Out at NYC New York Color

Beautiful Skin for my Sensitive Skin

My skin is extremely important to me.  I've made it a priority to take care of it and I'm always looking for great products to help me with that.  My nighttime regiment can be a very long process, but I want to look my best so I primp, maybe more than others.  There are a lot of products out there that serve individual purposes when it comes to cleaning and moisturizing the skin, so when I received Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin from Influenster with my Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 I was a little skeptical.  I had not heard of the brand before and I can be set in my ways.

When I first tried the hypo-allergenic system I was happy by the lightweight formula that makes up the cleansing portion of this process.  I use a face brush when cleaning my face to really get in to my pores and this cleanser worked well.  What I like most is the Night Cream for Dry/Very Dry Skin.  This moisturizer has a very light fragrance to it that was nice and calming.  My skin has felt and looked great for the last week.  I am very happy to be using this product and found it right away at Target.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

I have been eyeing-up the Spin Pin for a long long time.  I go thru bobby pins like crazy and they're constantly found all over my house instead of in my hair.  It drives my husband nuts!  LOL.  I always wondered if the spin pin had the abillity to actually do what it advertised even with the weight of my long hair so I was more than happy when Influenster sent the Spin Pin by Goody Hair with the Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012.  I was pleasatly surprised when I played around...and even go a bunch of compliments at work when I wore a cute hairstyle using the spin pin.

While I really enjoyed how my hair looked and how easy it was to use....not to mention my hair held extremely well...even on a really busy Saturday night serving tables...I don't feel like I have as much control of my hairstyle when using the spin pin.  It basically ended up with my style being determined by how the pin went in and the hair fell.  Don't get me wrong though, I will continue to use this on my hair regularly.

Glade Expressions Have Made an Impression

As a BzzAgent I love the variety of products we get to test and talk about.  The opportunity to test the Glade Expressions Collection was no different.  I have for a long time been a fan of Glade products.  There is always a wonderful candle that is filling my living room with a great scent.  I had long been thinking about the Glade Expressions line before I was chosen to Bzz about it so I was more than excited.

The Glade Expressions Collection has four amazing options to choose from in two options: the stylish oil diffuser and a fragrance mist can.  The scents to choose from are Pineapple & Mangosteen, Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice, Cotton & Italian Mandarin, and Lavender & Juniper Berry.  I started with the Reed Diffuser in Pineapple & Mangosteen and have been overly pleased with that decision. 

My house has been flooded with the sweet but light enough scent and the reed diffuser looks great amongst my existing decor.  I've gotten lots of compliments and people can't believe it when I tell them it's Glade!  No need to hide...see the diffuser in my house below.

UNREAL Candy

So this is a candy I had never even heard of, never seen and didn't even know where to find when I first heard about it...so I was VERY interested to try it.

Candy without the junk...or "unjunked" as they advertise sounds great since everyone in my house has a sweet tooth (including myself).  In our efforts to live a healthier lifestyle, indulging in chocolate isn't exactly something we should be doing...enter UNREAL Candy.

So what is it?

UNREAL candy contains NO corn syrup, NO partially hydrogenated oils, NO artificial ingredients, NO GMO's, NO preservatives and less sugar.  This is what we're looking for.  But how did it taste?

Frizz-Ease = Yes Please

I was super excited when I was chosen to test Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control Serum.   As much as I love summer and hot weather, it also means humidity and unruly tresses...and I am no exception to that rule in Wisconsin.

Have you seen the commercial where the neighbor takes a bite out of the ladies cookie?  Because this commercial is right on. I received a Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal cookie to test and I was excited...until I went to eat it...where is it?  I believe my husband is in SERIOUS trouble...typical.

Dino Lingo

I hadn't heard of this children's learning tool before receiving it in my MomVoxBox courtesy of Influenster so I was interested to see how it compared to other learning tools we've used for Stanley's development.  Dino Lingo offers a fun language lesson for children in 30 different languages and the music and animation s entertaining for both the children and parents.

Stanley is a little older and used the video to work on letter recognition and spelling of the animals.  He also turned the lesson into a dance party. Check  out the link below if you want to see how he interacted with the video, oh, and he watched it 3 times in a row!

As a mom, a wife, a full-time employee, a part-time employee and a personal business owner I don't have the time I used to have to pamper myself at the salon.  And while one may think I may have the money to do so with my multiple jobs, I don't have that either.  The thing is, I still like to look and feel good.
